When I joined the Magic Circle I was overcome with anticipation; anticipation of what to expect and what was going to happen.
When I arrived for my first workshop at their London headquarters, I couldn’t believe my eyes –a host of people in black suits, bow ties, bright coloured, chequered trousers and top hats.
Some of them were carrying what looked like pet cages until I realised there were doves and rabbits in them. This was the Magic Circle!
The footman at the door barked, “This building is reserved for members of the Magic Circle wishing to hone and perfect their skills and to practise their expertise in these arts”.
Inside I was welcomed by no other than the late Ali Bongo!
