Fitness test!

Re-read or listen to today's story - do you think children are unfit? How do you feel about having a fitness test like this? Discuss in class what you think about it.

Now get into teams and devise a different test to the bleep test - what kind of things do you think show people's level of fitness?

How do you know that you are fit?

Work out three different tasks that could be used to test people's fitness. How would you measure each one?

Use the internet to help you find out more about fitness and how you can improve your fitness.

Write a plan detailing your test.

How do you feel about this story? Is it a good idea or simply madness? Send us your views by clicking on Have your say or send longer reports to Be a reporter. We will put the best online.
