What happened to the elephant bird?

There are many theories about what happened to dinosaurs to make them die out.

Today you are going to investigate the elephant bird and theories about why it died out. a

You can then put forward to the class, in a short speech, the theory you think is most likely to be correct. You will also need to give reasons why you discounted any other theories.

You will have to back up your choice of theory with as much data and scientific fact as you can find.

Present your facts, data and any additional information in the form of a Powerpoint presentation.

Let us know your thoughts at Have your say or send longer articles or podcasts to Be a reporter. We will put the best online.
