World : Copenhagen climate change summit

How much do carbon emissions need to be cut by if we're going to save the planet?

Climate scientists say the world must stop the growth of greenhouse gas emissions and start making them fall from 2015 to 2020.

By 2050 the experts say the world must cut how much greenhouse gas that is pumped into the atmosphere by 80% compared with 1990 levels. If they don't the world's temperatures will go up by 2C.

This might not sound much but it will make huge differences to life on earth.
