Primary activity

Plan a story

Writers often take ideas for their stories from reports and things they read about.

The Take That story is a writer's dream: full of highs, lows, tension and now finally a coming together.

Use this report and the links in Find out more to write your own story.

You might choose one band member and write their story, or you might base your story much more loosely on the facts - for example you could change the story to five women who went to school together.

Plan the development of your story, showing:

  • The opening
  • The development (including any problems)
  • The crisis (the big problem that needs to be dealt with)
  • The ending

Tips:

  • Think about what type of story it is
  • Who is it written for?
  • Avoid having too many characters.

If you have time, write the story.
