Record a podcast

Imagine you have been asked by learnnewsdesk to record a report about this story for Be a reporter.

You will have to interview the main people involved in the story and ask them all about it. What questions would you ask? Try to ask open questions that will get a really good, detailed answer (such as "How do you feel about this?") rather than a closed question (such as "Are you happy about this?") which could give you just a yes or no response.

Remember to cover facts such as who, what, where, when and why in your report. But you also need to be careful not to give your own view - you are reporting the facts of the story and not your personal opinion.

Now use the information you have to write your report about the story which will act as an introduction to the interview. Rehearse it and make sure you have covered all the facts before you record it.

Use editing softward, such as Audacity, to edit your podcast and when you are happy with it send it in to us at Be a reporter and we will publish the best online!
